The project comes from the association of several formal aspects that find reference in both ancient and contemporary elements.
The main operation of the design consisted of the reworking of the forms taken as reference, which saw their complete transformation into new elements with contemporary lines.
The structure of the bridge is a Cor-Ten steel tank that houses the wooden slatted walkway inside. The choice of the monolithic structure was dictated by the need to raise the bridge so as to avoid interference with the passage of water. This structure also made it possible to contain the size of the structural profiles.
The goal of the project is to arrive at a completely new and original image with respect to the “bridge” element
both in form and materials, while maintaining the functional character. This was achieved through major compositional work that involved overlapping concepts such as static (trees), lightness of tapered lines, and the theme of variation through alternating architectural gestures (integrated balustrades).
