PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The work involves the placement and installation of all the sensors needed to carry out energy monitoring of the building. The building subject to the monitoring plan, is studied in its characteristics of geometric configuration, envelope, intended use and plant types, in order to define in sufficient detail the characteristics of the instrumentation supporting the monitoring and its placement in the field.

FOR THE PURPOSE OF MONITORING ENERGY CONSUMPTION, THE MACRO-TYPES THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT ARE.

1. Air conditioning (heating/cooling).
2. Lighting.
3. Driving force (Elevators – hoists – general loads).
4. Loads connected under the UPS line.
5. Energy stations.
In addition to energy measurements, measurements of environmental parameters were taken to detect the temperature, the percentage of humidity in the air, and the level of light intensity in some sampled rooms in the building itself.
The monitoring system was based on a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) type network architecture, 2.4 ZigBee radio protocol with products conforming to Telecom Specifications.

The type of technology used was provided by KERBEROS and the devices needed for monitoring are to be listed below:
1. GATEWAY: KET-GZE-100 device that connects the Zig-Bee network to Telecom Italia’s WSN interface management platform.
2. BRIDGE: KET-RMB-201.203 [5M] wireless modbus device and router in Zig Bee technology with the ability to manage up to five slave devices connected to its RS 485 port, suitable for mounting on a DIN rail electrical panel.
3. POWER METER: KET-PMT-200 [6M] three-phase network analyzer capable of providing all the following electrical quantities:Vrms, Irms, Watts, Var, Va, Frequency, Cosφ, Active Energy
4. 15VA TRANSFORMER: KET-PMA-100.230 [3M] provides a 19Vac voltage to the secondary that can be supplied at 230V, protection is provided by means of a thermo fuse; a 25VA transformer can also be used, occupying more modules on a DIN rail.
5. TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY AND LIGHT SENSOR: KET-THL-100 battery-powered device that through a digital ambient temperature and relative humidity sensor together with a built-in light sensor realizes complete environmental monitoring.
6. WIRELESS DEVICE COUNTING IMPULSE: KET-MES-200 [5M] device that connects to the standard ES interface of electricity meters and counts the relative pulses of energy consumed and delivered to the electricity grid ROUTER: KET-RMB-300
