The market for digital health infrastructure security solutions continues to grow, driven by increasing awareness of challenges related to patient data protection, regulatory compliance and physical security. The solutions available to date are limited in scope: they include data protection apps, malware monitoring, physical security, regulatory compliance and user access management.
However, significant challenges remain related to adapting to evolving regulations and the complexity of managing customized information based on user types.
The increasing integration of emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning to improve threat detection and the overall effectiveness of healthcare security, turns out to be a distinctive factor that can make Genoa and our country, in synergy with PNRR investments, a Hub of market development and job growth by offering secure and usable multi-user solutions.
To date, there are no digital services in the market that fully support the safety and quality of health infrastructure, especially of small and medium-sized facilities and residences for the elderly (RSAs), which are particularly vulnerable.
To meet these challenges, project partners, each in their domain of expertise, will develop and validate in real-world environment (public and private healthcare facilities) a pool of advanced digital services at TRL7-8 including: (i) Digital Twin (enabled by Scan2Bim) of healthcare facilities for identification of hot spots for physical infrastructure security (LA SIA) (ii) language model for management of security protocols and emergency response in healthcare/health care (ETT) (iii) expansion of the potential of Dedalus’ Clinical Knowledge Platform- CKP (Clinical Knowledge Platform) services for safety and quality. Target users are patients, family members, citizens with a free version of the mobile app, and health care staff or facility operators through a business solution.
There will be a training layer at different levels of depth for citizens and “professional” users.
Ameri Communications will be responsible for communication and dissemination of the project.
The project focuses on three pillars addressed together for the first time: management of work-related stress, emergency management, and manual handling of loads, including dependent patients. These aspects are of paramount importance to professionals, patients and family members, reducing the risk of errors, fires and injuries related to lifting patients.
The solution is designed in a modular fashion, allowing for future integration of additional modules and expansion of the platform to support the mission of theHealth City Manager as an emerging figure of which Genoa is a pioneer in Italy.
